Welcome to the official Alpha Advanced website!

Alpha Advanced is a mod for Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01 that aims to smooth over some of the rough edges of the version and create a Minecraft Alpha experience that is unique, but still true to the vanilla version.
The mod introduces a number of bug fixes, such as fixing stairs and block breaking speeds, while also adding new features such as more world types and new decorative blocks. For more information, you should join the Discord, or check out the official Wiki.

About the Developer

Hi!
My name is Tori, and I am the developer of Alpha Advanced! While I have had some help over time from other contributors, Alpha Advanced has remained my sole project that I have been using to de-stress during the lead up to my exams.
I am an 18 year old programmer, and I enjoy undertaking strange and unnecessary challenges for entertainment.
Alpha Advanced is my passion project, and I hope you enjoy playing the mod as much as I enjoy creating it!

Bug Fixes

• Fixed mining speeds of certain blocks not being affected by tools
• Fixed stairs dropping full blocks when destroyed.
• Fixed double slabs only dropping a single slab when destroyed.
• Fixed furnaces not dropping contained items when destroyed.
• Fixed cow horns detaching from their head when at extreme angles.
• (Mostly) fixed leaf decay.
• Fixed a crash when loading complex terrain.
• Fixed stairs rendering incorrectly in the inventory.

Tweaks & Quality of Life

• Reworked stairs - they are now oriented relative to the player when they are placed, instead of based on surrounding blocks.
• Reworked furnaces similar to stairs.
• Added a seed entry box when creating a new world.
• You can now choose between world types at world creation, instead of it being random.
• Boats now drop a boat item when destroyed, instead of planks and sticks.
• Boats are faster and less fragile.
• Certain food items can now be stacked.
• Added an FOV and Music Delay slider
• Added coordinates to the F3 menu.
• Made apples obtainable
• Increased the world height to 256 blocks.
• Added dark mode GUI.

World Generation

• Added Autumn worlds, which use a different grass/leaf colour and generates leaf litter under trees.
• Added several new flower types that can be found naturally around the world.
• Added copper ore to the world.
• Made trees have an incredibly low chance of generating without leaves, and with a redstone torch on top (known as spooky trees).

Items & Blocks

• Added shears, which can be used to obtain leaves, and get more wool from sheep.
• Added copper.
• Added copper rails, which are used as a replacement for powered rails.
• Added copper lamps, which act as a replacement for glowstone.
• Added cobblestone & stone bricks.
• Added fertiliser, which can be used to reproduce flowers and grow saplings/crops.
• Added hamburgers, which can be made using 2 bread and 1 cooked meat.
• Added tea plants, mugs and tea.
• Added fried eggs.
• Added apple pies, which can be used multiple times.
• Added flint bricks.
• Added Marble, Cobbled Marble, and Marble Pillars.
